To be honest, I feel safer driving in a truck than driving in a smaller car like a Civic. In the event of an auto accident, I’d rather be within the sturdy frame of a truck, as was the case in the recent past. I’ll tell you what happened. One Saturday morning, I was craving a fast food burger, so I mustered up enough effort to slip out of my pajama pants and into my jeans (I kept my slippers on though), and I was out the door. I put the keys in the ignition, started the engine, opened my garage, and pulled out at 15 mph. As I flew out of the dimly lit garage, I was rattled with a surprise impact from behind as a smaller sedan busted my Dodge Ram 1982 left tail light. The other driver tried to blame it on me, of course, but I stayed firm and denied such accusations. He shouldn’t have tried driving while trying to scarf down a bagel sandwich while reading the morning paper all at the same time! Well, my truck survived the minor accident quite well, while the other person’s sedan was left with an altered front end.
